Ambassador's Participation in the 17th Macau International Fair, 18th - 21th October 2012

The Special Administrative Region of Macau has been established by the People's Republic of China, as a platform to reinforce economic and commercial cooperation with the Portuguese Speaking Countries in 2003.  


This year’s Macau International Fair, from 18 to 21 October, was participated by the delegation from Timor-Leste which was composed of the 
Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China, H.E. Ms. Vicky Tchong, and cabinet officials from the State Secretary for the Support and Promotion of the Private Sector, including Trade Invest Agency; Centre of Bamboo in Tibar; and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Environment as well as the Ministry for Tourism.


In this opportunity, Timor-Leste was able to showcase its bamboo products from Tibar as well as brought a music group of 5 de Oriente from Dili.   


The agenda of the delegation was packed with activities including courtesy visits to the Chief Executive of Macau, H.E. Mr Chui Sai On, Permanent Secretariat of Forum of Macau, President of the Institute of Trade and Investment Promotion of Macau, Mr. Jackson Chang.

 

Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Portugal, Guinea-Bissau, Timor-Leste, Cape Verde, São Tome e Príncipe are members of the community of the Portuguese Speaking Countries and each was represented by their respective delegate in the Forum of Macau from 18th-21st October 2012.
